Responsibilities

In his current role, Simon is the AVP and registered Insurance Manager within our new office in Malta.

Together with the ICMS team, Simon ensures all clients’ (re)insurance activities are performed effectively, efficiently, and accurately within deadlines.

As the Insurance Manager for TBC he will be responsible of the operational management of the of the Insurance Department on both Insurance and Claims related matters.

Experience

In 2024, Simon joined ICMS (Malta)

Prior to joining, Simon began his insurance career 16-years ago as a Broker in the UK. After a move into Underwriting in 2014, Simon took a secondment in the Channel Islands. He was fundamental in the creation and growth of a new underwriting function in Jersey, Guernsey, and Alderney (2020-2022) before a move to Gibraltar to set up a new underwriting team for a Lloyds MGU. In 2021, he moved to Malta and into the world of Captive insurance.

Expertise

Simon’s expertise is based on a strong technical background in both underwriting and broking in the last 16-years within a number of different territories.

Education

Simon holds an Honors degree in Business and Finance from the University of Sheffield Hallam. He also holds a Certificate of Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
